Again, nobody bought it, so the Tarzaan continues to lead a lonely, overlooked life till this day, more than a decade after it shared the silver screen with Vatsal Sheth, Ayesha Takia and Ajay Devgan. And maybe, you can’t get Himesh Reshammiya’s music and the comically ominous ‘Taarzan’ theme song out of your mind. No wonder it didn’t find any takers, because in 2006, the Taarzan was put up for sale again, this time asking for a ‘modest’ INR 35 lakh for a 15 year old modified car. It was even put for sale for a whopping INR 2 Crores. Raj revamps his deceased fathers car into a wonderful car named Taarzan and the car comes alive as it is possessed by his fathers spirit. It is said that the DC Design team spent eight months to design and produce Taarzan. Still, it looked way better than most cars DC was cutting and sewing up with custom bodywork back in the day. It’s styling, like all DC Design’s creations from the past, was outlandish and amateurish. The Taarzan was based on a Toyota MR2 (1991 model), that had a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive layout and a full cab-forward design. ![]()
